THE former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings will be restored to the tune of $413.8 million.
The restoration project, commissioned by the National Heritage Board, will begin in January 2011.
Upon completion in the second half of 2014, the two iconic heritage buildings will have three additional basements added.
They will also house the new National Art Gallery, Singapore.
The 60,000-sqm visual arts gallery is set to be one of the region's largest, and will feature both permanent and temporary art galleries.
Wow $413,800,000 to renovate 2 buildings!
I remember PAP came into power because the Labour's chief minister Lim Yew Hock was accused of overspending $500,000 to renovate Victoria Memorial Hall instead of helping the people.
History repeating itself.

That's crazy.
Which PAP minister approved such rubbish?
