COME Dec 31, a large-scale 'inter-national' countdown party will be held at Tiong Bahru Park.
The party, organised by the Tanjong Pagar GRC, is expected to attract between 15,000 and 20,000 people.
It is the first countdown party here to heavily involve new citizens and permanent residents, the organiser said on Sunday.
On that day, there will be performances by foreign acts, including a dance troupe from Myanmar, a ventri-loquist from China, and a Japanese rock-and-roll singer.
Bellini House Band from popular nightclub complex St James Power Station will also perform. The band is made up of six members from Singapore, Britain, the United States and the Philippines.
Explaining the decision to hold such a party, Mr Sam Tan, an MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, said at a press conference on Sunday: 'People who are born and bred in Singapore are our main fighting force. But we need reinforcements in terms of new immigrants.
FTs.
FTs @ Ah Tiong Bahru.
Whether they are new citizens or not, if they still want a government without accountability, then they should have stayed in their own third world countries, why come here to ascrible to this government rubbish?
Of course if they are here only as a stepping stone to other better countries, then they should not bother to attend, they can use their time properly by "upping" their own eligibility to their other intended migrating country.
The whole spectacle, is geared towards PAP survival in this election, a shift from trying to cheat the locals, they will put more hope towards the new citizens, gravitating to them like cheap sluts intoxicated with date rape drugs.
PAP who could care less about citizens well-being are now even partying away with ill-gotten gains, squandered from citizens. Go ahead and sing their hearts out, their shame is well hidden and without remorse anyway. Cowardice and greed knows no bounds.

The Bangalas will surely party with their hands and hips, rubbing, groping at all the scantily clothed sg babes.

oh yea! Bangala Zouk Out 2011
This PAP is truly completely worthless and totally useless and an epic failure at nation building.
You can't get an anglo dog to build nationalism on 75% chinese.
That is common sense.
Harry Lee Kuan Yew is doomed to fail.
Now they have to build their loyalty on foreigners and aliens.
This is a sign of insecurity and uselessness for the PAP.
They must be voted out in 2011.
They are extremely bad for morale of Singaporeans, this PAP.
They are a complete useless political party.
If PAP stays, morale of country will continue to decline, PAP must go.
I always associated tiong bahru estate with the near eliteness of bukit timah, but knowing that place is run by tanjong pagar GRC, with the likes of Sam Tan. All I can say is "pui!"
Although some ppl said Obama is an idealist but I still agree with what he said -
"Prosperity without freedom is still another form of poverty."

Now, there only left with Lao Ah Bengs and lots of old folks with a sizable number of China immigrant workers, China Students living in some blocks of old flats rented out to them and more or less that's that. Lao Ah Bengs, I think also drowning already by the high cost of living, already numb and old to do much.
