A SNATCH-AND-RUN robbery was foiled by three members of the public on Monday night.
A 33-year-old woman had the gold necklace she was wearing yanked off her by one of the suspects, as she was walking along Hougang Avenue 2 with her 8-year-old daughter.
The victim's calls for help alerted a resident, Mr Zainudin, who came to assist her. He helped her search the area for the suspect.
They found the suspect who fled at the sight of the victim. He was joined by an alleged accomplice as he took flight.
Mr Zainudin, together with two passers-by - Mr Muhammad Imran Kuna and Mr Mohammed Nazir - chased and apprehended both suspects who were then passed on to the police.
The two suspects, aged 22 and 26, will be charged in court on Wednesday.
