Poll undergrads and young workers too

I AM heartened by the results of recent polls which showed that a large majority of young people are proud to be Singaporean, and that many believe Singapore will be able to overcome any difficulties to survive as a country ("Youngsters proud to be Singaporean"; Nov 3).
However, we should also not ignore the concerns of the likes of Nanyang Technological University student Lim Zi Rui, who had asked Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at a forum if he was aware that many young people were losing their sense of ownership of Singapore.
The polls targeted students in Primary 4 and 6, Secondary 2 and 4, and Year 2 of junior college, many of whom have yet to experience the realities of working life and competitive pressures outside school. Perhaps, such surveys could be expanded to include university students as well as young working adults to truly capture the perceptions of Singaporean youth and to ascertain if Mr Lim's concerns are indeed valid.

Are you proud to be Singaporean? Yes/No.
Notice they didnt release other results? Like one question that I remember they always asked. "Would you defend Singapore?" -
This kind of NE will only backfire on the PAP. When they grow up, they will realise they have been brainwashed all these years. The communism ideology bears no relevance in the modern era of internet.
