Clan opens door to immigrants

  THE Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Association (SFCCA) will be making changes to its constitution to allow for new members and more council members.

  The new constitution, expected to be passed by the middle of next year, will open doors to immigrant groups and associations not formed on the basis of geography and kinship to be associate members.

  These will include groups that are registered as businesses and not societies, said SFCCA's chairman Chua Thian Poh at a swearing-in ceremony of the 13th council held on Saturday at Suntec City.

  'We are still working out the details on the rights of this new category of associate members,' he said.

  Another amendment will allow the federation to increase the number of council members from the current 15 to a number that will be decided.

  'If we want to do more and plan more activities, we need to bring in more council members so there is a stronger sense of commitment,' said Mr Chua, who is also the chairman and chief executive of property developer, Ho Bee Group.

  Spore gonna facing the old age issue in another 15 ro 20 yr time.

  I love to see how govt going to solve this issue.

   

  Spore need more babies, no babies, look for newly FT to fill the gap.

  That is why spore facing this problem too.

  I don't like the term "FT". It devalues the local Singaporean.

  It is a propaganda term invented by PAP for their own purposes.

  what foreign talent? tok so loud. walk also cannot walk properly everytime see you purposely stop in your way. somemore they are black people, short fat people, noetherne chinese and blangah. stupig people. these are talents? if they are i am God. foreign talent? cheap labor lah more like it. everyday wal;k want to block people;'s walk. only cheap and only knowhow to block people's way. cheapbye cheap labor.
