Next time (if you are keeping another Arowana).. the best option is to take it back to the Aquarium Shop you bought your daily feeds for the fish...
The shop keeper should know how to treat the fish better than us... (no quarantee) but the chances are definitely higher given the expertise in their daily job.
As the days go by.. the compassion (feelings) with your pet fish grows... when i come back everyday... the Arowana will be there to "greet" you by moving to the near end of the tank.
A healthy Arowana can have a life span of 25 to 30 years... hence, I only hope the fish can be around when I gets older... lol.
