  840,000 HDB households to receive U-Save rebate GST voucher in October

  SINGAPORE: Around 840,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive the next instalment of the GST Voucher - Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate in October, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said on Sunday (Oct 2). 

  
  

  One of three components under the GST Voucher scheme, U-Save allows those living in one- and two-room HDB flats to offset about three to four months of utilities bills, while those living in three- and four-room HDB flats may offset about one to two months' worth of such bills on average. 

  
  

  The U-Save rebate vouchers are distributed quarterly and are expected to cost S$190 million a year, said MOF in a press release. 

  
  

  In October, eligible Singaporean households will each receive a U-Save rebate GST voucher of up to S$65, depending on their HDB flat type.
