Not only is it wrong but it is confusing as well, says STOMPer Chan, who wonders why the signage at Serangoon Central says Marine Parade Town instead.
According to the STOMPer, the two towns are completely different.
He also sent in a picture of the edited version of the signage.
Chan says: "I am a resident in Serangoon Central and I have noticed that it is not appropriate to install the signage of Marine Parade Town in Serangoon Central Area which is under the Marine Parade GRC.
"These two towns are completely different in environmental nature, culture and design of the HDB estates.
"The wrong signage is at Block 231, Serangoon Central, at the junction of Serangoon Ave 2, Lorong Chuan and Boundary Road.
"Serangoon Town Central and Marine Parade Town are completely different towns which are separated by the area of Aljunied GRC."It is therefore not appropriate to name Serangoon as Marine Parade."
