Hotel staff doesn't know how high hotel is, and doesn't bother to ask
STOMPer Jason called up Pan Pacific Hotel to find out if the hotel had a good view of the National Day fireworks display. Instead of answers, he got a clueless hotel staff member who did not seem interested in answering his questions.Here's the email the irate STOMPer wrote to the hotel:"On Aug 1 at 8:30 pm, I called to enquire about the facilities of your hotel. I was planning a weekend stay with my wife for the upcoming National Day celebrations."I was ready to book a room at your hotel. But I didn’t as I was dismayed by the standard of service that one of your staff provided."I just wanted to know how many floors the hotel had and if it overlooked the firework display for National Day Aug 9.
"But a member of your hotel staff by the name of Lina or Lena hung up on me without being able to answer even the simple question that I asked her."I asked initially if I could ask her a question. She replied 'no' before I could pose her the question."I replied 'I haven’t even asked my question yet, how do you know that you cannot answer?' She didn't want to answer the question and refused to put me through to somebody who could despite my requesting it."She didn't even bother to check with any of her colleagues."How can a person working at your hotel not know how high your hotel is? It is just a simple question."She just kept saying 'thank you' thinking everything’s fine. I should say “thank you” to her for changing my mind about Pan Pacific Hotel.
"This is unacceptable and I will never stay in your hotel or your affiliated hotels again."I will make it a point to inform my friends, colleagues and family about your poor service."It not only spoiled my weekend, it ruined your reputation. I will not recommend your hotel for any weddings, functions, and company business meetings.
"Guess what? I gave my business to some other hotel in the vicinity even though they cost more. At least they came up tops in answering my simple question!"Damn... this is funny... People who are really interested in watching it in hotel would had booked long ago... and thus no space for the stomper... and yet he claimed to had given other hotel his business wor... bogus hotel? or is it the 2nd or 3rd floor room facing away from the direction...

A simple search using "pan pacific singapore" in google will turn up a wiki link with summary stating the hotel has 37 floors.
You don't even need to click on the link. -
