NEA: Action taken against hawker handling chicken on dirty floorThe National Environment Agency (NEA) has taken enforcement action against the hawker who prepared a chicken on the floor. The stall assistant was caught in the act by STOMPer Teo who had also noted that the stall was graded 'B'.According to the NEA spokesperson:
"The NEA has investigated the incident.Our investigation disclosed and found that the stall assistant of #01-22, Blk 409 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 did prepare an uncooked chicken on the floor."This is unacceptable and the NEA has followed up with enforcement action against the stall. Stallholders and their assistants are to play their part in ensuring no hygiene lapses during food preparation.
The stall grading is 'B'. During our grading assessment, as the floors and walls of the stall were found to be in a clean and dry condition during our last grading assessment."Other areas of the stall, such as the steel cabinets and showcases, were also properly maintained. No hygiene offences were observed during the assessment."If the stall were to commit further hygiene offences and choke up more than 12 demerit points, its licence will be suspended and stall will be down graded._________________________This kind of hawkers are really without any health awareness, endanger pple lifeNow you all know why EAT FOOD OUTSIDE WILL TIO STOMACH ACHEI hope he tio ban for 3 mths and get "D" grades -
