from the comments, a few stompers felt that the accused shouldn't have been tied up like this, but brought to a private area, to protect his rights, dignity and safety. after all, there could have been a misunderstanding.

personally, i think the tying up part is ok la. i rather tie him up than allow him the chance of escape. the latter is harder to answer for.

Gotta agree.... what's with tying him up and displaying him out in the open?
By all means apprehend him, but then the guard should have immediately taken the suspect to the back-of-house area for questioning!
