STOMPer Shifu was irritated when he tuned in to watch a Channel 8 variety show. Two of the performers, sister duo Ming Zhu Jie Mei, were vying for TV attention so much, that they were acting like kids.
On top of this, Ming Zhu Jie Mei sang the wrong lyrics when it was their turn to perform. One of the host, Li Peng, also made many errors and offended the audience/guests with his uncouth comments, says this STOMPer.
He says:
"I was watching the variety show on Channel 8 last night at 8pm and felt very irritated with the style that our local television stations are heading to.
"Ming Zhu Jie Mei, said to be ever-present in the industry, were acting like small kids, trying to get maximum camera time and making so much noise during a singing contest.
"In the end, they couldn't even complete a song properly. This leads to a question: Since they do not really know the lyrics, does that mean that they actually sing the wrong lyrics when they are performing in Getais?
"Co-host Li Peng was another failure.
"The Super Host winner had already committed many errors, as a host, prior to yesterday's show by offending people/guests with his uncouth comments and last night, did not present himself as a host with all the actions that would irked many an audience. The polling results in which he garnered the least votes shows.
"Even their invited artiste mirrors that of another variety show on Saturday at 8pm, and the song sung was also the same. Accordingly, the invited artiste for the variety show this Saturday at 8pm would also be the invited artiste on next Monday's show.
"I really hope that Channel 8 would not have to resort to compromise viewership rates by asking people who spoils the image of variety show up on stage, ultimately showing off their flaws which questions their professionlism at the same time."
