executive doing this type of thing.
If i got frenz like this i think i be finding a hole to hide myself.
Normally for me, i will sit down at the place, and ask my frenz go and get their food first, or one of us will sit down and reserve the seat. I think it more proper and look more better when 1 person sit n reserve seat, rather than throw tissue paper to reserve. In the past, how we do it? we dun reserve with tissue paper, do we?
I remember in the past when there no tissue paper chomp seat, normally among a group, 1 person or 2 will sit down first, while the rest go n order. Then when 1 person come back, the pple who reserve seat will go and buy. Even till now, i still do this with my frenz. There is no need for us to use tissue. So ugly... and worse thing, these pple are executive, professional image, wear formal, with tie and shirt, maybe suit also. Such a disgrace.... bei pai seh wan, worse than those market fish monger ~~
i think market those aunit uncle also won do this. I think in coffeeshop we dun see this also. Look like the more educated u are, the more ugly u become.
Sorry ar, if offended anyone, but i think these pple won feel pai seh wan.
If they will feel pai seh i think they won even do this type of thing.
PAP, please set a rule on chope-ing seat. Tissue paper (umbrella leh?) allowed or not? Put in newspapers, and we all follow.

i can agree with you on it, but this is always happening for teenagers only, i meant we will definitely feel paiseh about it hence some adult may too, its courtsey. its rare on weekends to see tissue papers to chop seats.. you on the other hand have to understand that, this are working people. they got lunch break. some can even last up to half an hour.plus, adding on to finding a seat and waiting in the long queue? dont you think, you can sometimes only have 15 minutes to eat?its only 50/50 fairness loh, noone is right, noone is wrong..
Using tissue paper is too low class and cheap, 30cents a pack for unused one. dont know know much for used one. I will respect more if they left their thick wallet with hundreds of dollars to chop seats... If cannot find seat, then share lah, what's the problem to ppl nowadays finding so hard to share a table with stranger for lunch...???
ayiah they should just put a sign up
"no reservation of seats with inanimate objects"

if they could, long ago singaporeans would even put up in the trains for pirority seat for grannys or pregnant ladys, not men.
The best thing, fine people who chope seats with inanimate objects.
own up...
who chope seats with tissue...
i bet there are some of u in here...
last time we(me and 3 other ppl) went to McDonalds at TECC. Then we saw a table with a bottle on the table. We sat on that table cos we dunno got ppl. We juz put the bottle on top of the clearing rubbish area. Then, one woman carrying her baby took the bottle immediately and sat on another small and dirty table a few metres away from our table.
So, the moral of the story is, don't chope seats with things. : )
this practice suks

If people really want to reserve a table, they should put their business card with the hour they put it on table. So everybody know who reserve the seat, and know if it was 20 minutes ago or 5 minutes ago.

Nice idea.
Put laptops, open up microsoft words, then type in large bold fonts:
'THIS TABLE IS RESERVED'
Much more clearer than using tissue paper
i work in jurong industrial area near tuas. the culture there is ppl use umbrella de.
take a pen and paper and write "V.I.P" only.. and put it on the table =D
