A STOMPer was infuriated by the lousy service she experienced during her recent visit to the Long John Silver's outlet in Novena Square. What made it worse was the inconsistent pricing, as she was charged for tartar sauce there but not in other outlets.
She says:
"I am a regular customer at Long John Silver's.
"My visit to Long John Silver's at Novena Square last week was a disappointment and an unpleasant experience.
"While queueing for my turn with one counter serving six customers, I noticed that the staff was very impatient and rude.
"When it was my turn to place orders, I presented my coupon for grilled fish.
"I was appalled by the staff's reaction towards my coupon when she muttered 'again'. I asked if the coupon came with a drink, and received a rude reply, 'No drink. You want to buy or not?'
"What came next was even more appalling. I had my change thrown on the tray with my drink! Is this the correct way of serving customers with such attitude?
"When I requested for two packets of tartar sauce, I was told, 'You have to pay 40 cents, you want or not?' I merely paid for it and was not surprised to have my tartar sauce thrown on the tray as well.
"Out of curiosity I asked, 'Why is your shop charging for the tartar sauce, whereas my visit to Long John Silver's Junction 8 proved otherwise?' Her reply? 'Don't know, company policy lah'.
"I was very angry with her nonchalant attitude and when I demanded to see her manager, she replied that the manager was not in the shop. She told me to leave my contact and she would call me.
"Waited for a few days but did not receive any calls from her, is this how Long John Silver's value customer feedback?
"Long John Silver's is such an established and reputable fast food chain, I am rather surprised by their lack of proper training and service.
"It seems that their standard of service has dropped tremendously with staff not properly trained and having nonchalant attitudes!
"Such displays of service and attitude by the staff can even be overlooked by the management!
"Being in the service industry, Long John Silver's is lacking in GEM service and hospitality!
"Please do us customers a service by not having this kind of service staff, it spoils our day and appetite.
"Lastly, why is the company not consistent in charging the customers, is the company being operated by the same boss?"
I highly suspect the stomper exgarrate her story. And sorry, but who in the blue hell go notice how the servers serve other customers in her queue one. So free ar?
I have been eating fast food since ages ago, I nv met a server that is SO GUAI LAN before. I dont tink any server will treat a customer as stated unless the customer ownself either
1) face problem
2) owneself attitude problem

i think the stomper on her part added salt and pepper.
But tartar sauce really need to pay now.
But I think it was 20cents or below.
for fish meals first packet free...
so she got buy the drink anot.
I have to say though, LJS' servings are getting smaller, fries are getting dryer, the servers are ALWAYS trying to trick you into spending more like: "Medium for your drink?" when the meal itself actually comes with Regular drink. They don't tell you that medium will add to the cost. Similar thing with Ice Lemon Tea. In the end the price you have to pay is higher than the price of the meal displayed.

me no agree wif irresponsible & lazy (fastfood restaurants') employees' idea of "pay peanuts, get monkeys".
when they 1st accepted the job, dun tell me dat they din knw their meagre pay & wat was xpected of dem?
bt me will oways try nt to be upset wif dem coz me will tell myself dat they r lowly ppl & dat's y hv to work thr.
i think if you want good service, go to a fancy resturant.

They've been charging for tartar sauce for a long time. From what I know, they give free only when you order anything with fish.
Otherwise, they'll charge you for it.

as for things dat are shrinking nowadays, very common, they nv raise price, but reduce quantity.
i notice that mac has change the meat for their spicy from thigh to breast meat? correct me if im wrong
when u go europe holiday, the mcdonalds there charge u euro 20 cents for the same packet of ketchup...
bo lei dun haf charge $ policy lei, cb i go hougang ljs no charge for tar tar sauce lei. i juz ask den e counter guy gif lor, aniwae hougang got handicapped staffs , ask them they gif free. i think they are better then non handicapped staffs !!! ... disgrace to those poor services physically healthy staffs who cannot even show services. fuck ur parents.
