Strikeforce's first-ever DVD release hits store shelves on Oct. 12.
"Strikeforce MMA," a two-disc offering with nearly six hours of content, features preliminary- and main-card fights from three of the organization's 2010 events.
They include "Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery," "Strikeforce: Los Angeles" and "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum." Famed Strikeforce heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko graces the cover with Alistair Overeem and Robbie Lawler.
In addition to the Showtime-televised events, the discs, which retail for $29.99 in the U.S. (and $34.99 in Canada), also include fighter interviews and other exclusive content.
"Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery" took place May 15 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Featured bouts included heavyweight champion Overeem vs. Brett Rogers, Andrei Arlovski vs. Antonio Silva, and Ronaldo Souza vs. Joey villasenor.
"Strikeforce: Los Angeles" took place June 16 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The rare mid-week show, which coincided with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), features Lawler vs. Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Evangelista Santos vs. Marius Zaromskis, and Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley.
And "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum" took place June 26 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., with a highly anticipated matchup between Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum. Additionally, Strikeforce women's middleweight champ Cristiane Santos met Jan Finney, and Scott Smith rematched Cung Le.
