Swimming in laos SEA games

Since the laotians cannot swim, why dun they scrap the swimming events?

what i meant is that since they cannot hope to win any medals in the swim events, might as well not have this swimming events like they did not include bowling in this SEA games

I think ppl will not watch the games if swimming, such a common and popular sport, is removed.

one thing, back to swimming, why must all of them go USA to 'swim'?
can't they go to (maybe) cost-effective places like Aus or even China?

TS...soccer, track and field and SWIMMING are compulsory events at any major games...this include SEA games, Asian games and Olympics...a host nation must include these 3 sports...
