Bookies are fielding bets for LA Galaxy star David Beckham to take charge of England.
There's growing support inside the FA for Beckham to be handed the job in a similar fashion to Jurgen Klinsmann's successful term in charge of Germany in 2006.
Beckham features in the betting to be the next England boss should Fabio Capello be axed.
His odds have shortened to 20-1.
LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham wants to be part of England's Euro2012 qualifying campaign.
Manchester United legend Becks, 35, was ruled out of the 2010 World Cup through injury and helped out on the coaching side in South Africa.
But his rehab has gone well and he is targeting the 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria on September 3 and the trip to Switzerland four days later.
The veteran former skipper believes he still has plenty to offer England and his ability to retain possession and pass incisively was sorely missed at the finals.
A source close to Beckham told The Sun: "David loves playing for England and is optimistic he'll be ready for the qualifiers in September."
