Giorgio Chiellini's agent admits the Juventus defender is "honoured" to be linked with a summer move to Manchester United.
The Italy stopper is reported to be one of Sir Alex Ferguson's top transfer targets as he plots United's attempt to regain the Premier League title.
Chiellini has been linked with a £25million move to Old Trafford as a possible replacement for Nemanja Vidic, should the Serbian depart.
The 25-year-old's agent Davide Lippi is quoted as saying in The Sun: "United is a club and England is a country of great importance to us. We like them a lot.
"With Giorgio, we've decided that during the World Cup we won't think about the transfer market. But after the World Cup, we will think about everything. He is honoured to be of interest to United."
