  DROGBA WAITS ON FIFA DECISION

  

  
  

  Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba is waiting to hear from FIFA whether or not he will be allowed to play against Portugal wearing a protective cast.

  The Chelsea frontman trained with his team-mates at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Monday evening as manager Sven-Goran Eriksson revealed he was waiting to hear from officials if Drogba can wear a lightweight dressing on his fractured arm.

  Eriksson said: "There has been a FIFA meeting today and the people haven't come back yet. We will know later."

  I think portugal should beat Ivory coast, esp if drogba is not playing.

  what were ivory coast thinking towards the end of the game?

  they had the chance to go for one last try to win the game.  but instead of taking the corner they took a short one.

  a game where the africans outplayed ronaldo and gang for a good period of time...looks like portugal may struggle...

  seems like all african teams have more powerful bodies than the europeans. Portugal had poor teamwork during the game and as usual, ronaldo could not influence a game for his country. Is he the next del piero? lol. Prolific for club but not country.
