World Cup versus League/UCL matches

  Which one bring in more attractive to the audiences?

  Now, I realise that non football fans also like to feel the hotness of World Cup. But they do not really interest to catch the premier league and UCL matches though.

  World Cup = Less teamwork (only need friendly matches to train their leadership and morale)

  League matches = More teamwork (Since most of the time stick to each other)

  World Cup & Euro Champ tournament will last 1 month whereas League matches will last 9 months.

  this is true...many years ago.. i only watch world cup..

  reason is .. becos wc is only once every 4 years..

  i believe this is why most pple are mad about wc.

  same goes for olympic sports..

  of cos world cup more attractive...every other year ucl semi final dominated by clubs from one country...not much surprises...but world cup got upsets by smaller teams...

  European Cup is from best teams competing against each other .

  Last season, Bordeux upsetted the odds by going to quarter-finals. Best ever perfomcance they had. Another blackhorse Villarreal also managed to proceed semi-finals.

  I think this season World Cup will produce a lot of surprise results which will be favour to African countries since they can adapt well in their own contiment. Whereas European countries need some time to adapt the surroundings.

  consider the high altitude as a factor in the world cup. another factor to consider is the fatigue after an exhausting european league, esp if the teams were in the CL up to the semi's. you can see already the number of goals scored after 2 matches, 2 goals in 2 matches.

  Friendlies will also make players more exhausted. So, those played for UCL finals/ League should be spared by coach from playing the friendlies.
