Matthew Upson is likely to leave West Ham this summer when he returns from England duty at the World Cup.
Upson is one of the club's key assets, but has rejected a new three year contract tabled by the Hammers - wanting to return from the World Cup in South Africa before making up his mind.
"We keep hearing the agent may have done a deal with a bigger club," co-owner David Sullivan said in the Daily Mail. "I can't say who but I wish they'd get on and make an offer. We've had offers from lesser clubs who he probably wouldn't go to. He probably fancies one last throw of the dice at a big club. I wish Matthew well."
Upson has been linked with a number of clubs, including Tottenham and Liverpool and it is clear that speculation over his future will continue for some time yet.
A West Ham insider told Soccernet: "There have been whispers about Liverpool being one of the top clubs interested in Upson, but as yet there have been no approaches. It is clear that Upson is keeping his options open having told the club he will make up his mind about the new contract only when he returns from the World Cup."
