The Bulgarian international has failed to live up to expectations since he moved to United from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2008 for £30.5million.
Berbatov netted only 12 times in the Premier League this season and, despite a lackluster year, Ferguson insists that the striker will not depart United this summer.
"No, he will not - definitely not. There's a problem with Manchester United in terms of expectation and media attention,” Ferguson told The Mirror.
"There's speculation every year and we've got to live with that hype. We know Dimitar is a good player and he will be with us next year.
Despite losing the race for a fourth consecutive Premier League title to Chelsea by just one point and being from the Champions League in the quarter-finals by Bayern Munich, Ferguson believes that his side do not have a lot they need to get better at.
"We don't have a great deal to improve on. The one area of concern last season was that we had 16 players missing through injury.
"That impacts on the stability of the team as the season develops. But we always felt that when our back four was in place there was a sense of purpose and strength."
nobody made an offer?
thats bad news...
i really dont buy it when fergie say there's cash to spend on players.
when u have cash, u create news like what real madrid and barcelona does.

well, given his age/form, it may not be easy to flaunt him around in transfer markets..
good player dont turn to become bad player overnight.
must talk to him , find out how to make him better or how he can help to make the team better.

well, it is a choice of whether u want to build the team around him like spurs or play the way MU plays and he adapt.
BBT is not a bad player, what makes him stand out is his laziness. If he can work like what Rooney does, I believe he'll come real good.
good news.
Bad news to mi as Rooney has to partner him again
