What if when the time comes and they block the channel like in the last WC?
Actually I can receive the RCTI already without the antenna but quite blur thought... Wonder if the antenna really helps a lot?
Btw, the frequency for RCTI channel is UHF 647.18 if anyone wish to try and search on their Tv. Good Luck.
hey zocoss, of cos the antenna helps a great deal...what are you talking about? lol. They can't block the channel because it involves some bilateral agreement between Indo and Sg or something like that.
The last WC was blocked? No man......I watched it on RCTI with 90% clarity. 95% of all the matches were broadcasted.

Just to share, 3 days ago I tuned to RCTI with antenna again to check that the clarity of picture is still there. To my horror, the entire screen turned pink and purple for quite some time despite fine tuning. One day later i try again, it's fine again, 90% clarity.
Hope that signals will be clear by the time WC starts... worse come to worst, we still have live stream to fall back on, right bro Rockstar?

Ok lor, if you say it helps a great deal then very good news lor... I was referring to the Tv1 and Tv2... The last time in 06, my RTM channels suddenly became fuzzy during the WC... Guess must be someone up to their dirty tricks... I saw 2 types of indoor antenna, one was $30 plus (4th picture) and another was $40 (6th picture)... All before gst. I think the brand was Daiyo...
my friend bought 1 from mustafa 25 bucks only.. and he stays in the north east, quite clear the rcti feed..
okie... i go Mustafa now...
I didn't subscribe, and now that the date-line has passed... I won't be subscribing anymore for sure... I will join the boycott... lol...
At most, don't watch lor... Or find other alternatives...

wow u even got the antenna adverts out lol. Well I think like what stellazio said, the $25 one from mustafa would suffice. Good luck! Welcome to the boycott :)

Don't worry about that bro. It's just those once in a while glitches. It happens cos it's beamed from their own satellite. So enjoy!

Thanks for posting the photos and descriptions of these antenna models!
By the way, I bought the 4th model (pink colored box, daiyo brand) for $36.80 from Best. Careffour also sell it at the same price.
I also saw the more expensive model (i believe it's the 6th one) at $40+, the salesperson actually told me not much difference in performance. The final quality of picture received is still very much dependent on the signal that your area receives.
Later Singapore block all transmissions from Indonesia and Malaysia. They have done it before, havent they?
Read my posts again la :)
6 more days to the WC. Get your antennas and tune into RCTI now!!
It will definitely be worth it cos Champions League is also FREE!!
I will be having most of my meals in Mcdonalds when the World Cup starts.
Anyone has the singapore timings of all the matches?
or more importantly, what time is the opening and final match being played at?

totally cant receive without the antenna in tampines.
anyone in tampines with the antenna?
is the receiving good?
i dont want to buy the antenna and end up cant receiving anything.
dragg, we are receiving from batam leh....haha. Of course w/o antennae cannot la. Same situation as my house in the north east. Just buy an antennae from mustafa at $25, shd be fine. These electronic waves travel high and long distances for hundreds of kilometres, it should reach the whole of singapore.

This
do-it-yourself TV antenna apparently allows you to catch World Cup
matches on the cheap, says a STOMPer. The question is, what if you get
caught?
The STOMPer had come across a video advertisement for the product on a local forum and sent it in to share.
In an email today (June 3) the STOMPer wrote:
"You can watch free World Cup matches via this do-it-yourself TV antenna.
"It seems to be a very 'budget' way to watch the World Cup for free, but I wonder how safe it is. And is it illegal?"
We have been receiving Msia and Indo channels for so many years and now he is asking if it is illegal? hahaha....this chap must have paid a bomb for the WC subscription to Singhub.

Did you change your antenna to the one on top of your block or not? If you use the cable antenna cannot get anything for sure but if you use the old antenna point, can still get a blur picture without the indoor antenna... But with it I think should be better as some of the guys here say 90%... You can get other channels very clear as well like Tv3, Tv7 & Tv9 without the indoor antenna...
