the ulitimate blame should be put on FIFA for being the greedy lot seeing spore as a rich nation, putting up audacious price on this tournament.We are robbed and F***ing overcharged..

the telco's brought it upon themselves with their over the top bidding for the epl rights.. so who can blame fifa? they know they can milk it out of singapore, but really who was the ones that gave them the chance to?

sit coffeeshop for hours, back pain and very smelly, a lot of smoke, beer and sweat.

i think the telcos pay around 15-17million to bid world cup.
previously WC i think starhub pay only 3-5million only.
even singtel or starhub refuse to comment further why the price hike. obviously the amount of money we pay to watch EPL was the reason why FIFA would want a big pie of the singapore money. if u can pay hundreds of million for EPL, what is 17milion for world cup. we are being held ransom!!

singtel and starhub pple at the press conference say they have done it for us.....my foot! This generates big profits for the telcos and of course, a fantastic KPI for these executives, a huge increment and of course fat bonuses.
