End of the road: Deco has been forced to play a bit-part role at Chelsea
Fluminense hope to agree a deal to sign Deco from Chelsea early next week after dispatching officials to London.
The 32-year-old still has another season left on his Stamford Bridge contract but is pleading to be released so that he can be closer to his sons in Rio de Janeiro.
Flamengo and Deco's first club Corinthians have also shown an interest, but Fluminense will be the first to offer a concrete proposal when officials arrive in England over the weekend.
A meeting is being planned for after Chelsea's final Barclays Premier League match of the season at home against Wigan Athletic on Sunday, when the Blues should clinch the title.
Deco is due to join up with Portugal's World Cup party almost straight after the FA Cup final against Portsmouth on Saturday week and Fluminense want a deal agreed before he leaves England.
The club hope to show they mean business by announcing other big signings in a bid to challenge Corinthians and Santos in the Brazilian Serie A, which kicks off this weekend.

The weird thing is, despite not featuring regularly for Chelsea, he's still in the national team! Portugal that jialat meh? Cannot find another replacement? Even Ronaldinho is not selected at National level despite turing impressive performances for AC Milan recently.

being a Brazilian born going to Bazil club to end is pretty proper imo, opinions defers of course but i would take it as a manager's failure for most of Chelsea's so called flog, they are being played outta position that they would be best in and given the untouchable of Lampard in the middle of the park the rest had to be playing around him even if they might be better off in the same position
