  Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to test Manchester United's resolve over Wayne Rooney.

  Sport says local Madrid radio reports state Florentino is willing to offer cash plus midfielder Mahamadou Diarra and striker Karim Benzema for Rooney, who would be valued at £70 million.

  It's expected the Madrid press will soon ramp up speculation surrounding Rooney as part of a campaign to bring the England star to Spain.

  Indeed, Real chiefs will be encouraged by reports in today's English press that United have shelved new contract talks with Rooney until after the World Cup.

  crazy... benzema and diarra both combine is not even half good as rooney.

  Diarra is a money minded fucker that has shifted dont know how many fucking clubs. Benzema is only proven in the french league, and in madrid he sucks. He is further more not proven in the EPL.

  Rooney, proven in the EPL. Scores goals like nothing. Assists like nothing. Strong, good dribbler vision, and fucking hell full of energy to run here and there. Play midfielder, even saw him play as full back before. Goalkeeper also no problem for him, since he used to play as one.

  I would say that Ferguson is dumb to sell rooney. Damn Dumb, especially when Rooney had said he has no intention to quit united.

  The one that you're referring to is Lassana Diarra, who is still playing regularly at Real Madrid. Mahamadou Diarra is a Senegalese who was signed from Lyon a few years back. He was then as good as Essien but now...

  Anyway, The only acceptable deal is to have Karim Benzema + Gonzalo Higuain + Cristiano Ronaldo + 40m for Rooney. Deal or no Deal?
