The experienced Hodgson has had a season to remember in leading the Cottagers to 10th place in the Premier League and a place in the Europa League final in Hamburg.
And with under fire Reds boss Benitez being linked with a move to Juventus, Liverpool could see the 62-year-old as an ideal replacement to stabilise the uncertainty at Anfield.
But the Fulham boss is loving life at Craven Cottage as Fulham enjoy their most successful season ever.
He said: "I am happy here at Fulham. I have got a contract here at Fulham. I am happy with the job I am doing.
"My name is sufficiently strong at the moment to be linked with other jobs and, of course, that is flattering and it is nice to hear.
"But as far as I am concerned it is speculation because I am at Fulham.
"We all prefer praise to criticism and love to hatred. It would be ludicrous to suggest I am not enjoying people saying and writing nice things about me and the team.
"But I am trying to keep a level head and keep things in perspective."
Fulham are going places with Hodgson. He should stay on for another season.
fulham will be a stepping stone for their players.
wonder why hangeland still hanging on to it. unless he dont intend to win anything big.
proud of fulham of course.
fulham has come a long way, from division 2 football to european finalists. And their owner has always been so supportive despite their ups and downs.

Yup, Their owner, Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed is simply awesome la. Owner of Harrods and Fulham football club at the grand age of 77!
I still remember a few seasons ago where Fulham shared QPR's Loftus Road while their own Craven Cottage is redeveloped. This guy is really pumping in money to the modest club, turning it from a Division 2 club to a Premier League club.
The Fulham fans really loved him: Take Me Home Al Fayed was sang after Hodgson guided them into the Europa League finals.
Anyway, on the side note, i just found out his oldest son, Dodi, was romantically involved with Diana, Princess of Wales on 31 August 1997. Both of them died in a car crash.
Hodgson..hmmm...never heard of him. He can take over West ham better
Go make Fulham famous by winning e Europa Cup
