i mean against spurs tomorrow morning.
as for the title its only a matter of time if city's owners are willing to spend.
Yea. Keep fucking The Devils'.
gg.. man city conceded a late goal.. they will miss out on 4th..
Nice play by spurs! Finally snatch the fourth place that has eluded them for a long time... spurs fans are in rapture, probably the same feeling I will get if arsenal won the champions league... would be super funny if they crash out in the qualifying rounds of ucl...
Must have been a good day for united fans as well, 2 of their most hated rivals will be hanging around in the 2nd tier of european football for next season...
could have been more goals if not for fulop or the perfectly legit goal by king which was disallowed by the ref... gomes made a few important saves in the first half as well... the gareth bale guy, I think is beginning to show the promise he had when spurs first signed him... possibly the next ryan giggs... If ferguson had any common sense, he should go for this guy instead of the overhyped modric
very entertaining match. alot of nice shots and close calls by both teams.
man city is dragged down by the fact their defenders are toothless in the attack. zabaletta especially is the weakest link, next to bridge. barry also is overrated. the holding midfielders are also poor in attack.
left with only tevez, adebayor (off form), bellamy, johnson; they ran out of ideas.
anyway mancini is just talk only. reminds me of benitez. never secure 4th place already keep bragging. now he can learn to eat his words. arrogant asshole.
realistically, spurs won't venture far in the cl....with city at least the owners might be splashing tonnes to bring it some interesting players to the game...well, there's always next season, pool is falling while can't see spurs pushing any further....
wow
SPurs haha
Peter Crouch
PRIZE ... Champions League trophy
But fourth spot does not guarantee that much.
The top three go straight into the group stages.
All fourth earns is a place in a two-legged play-off round in August and Lyon could be a possible opponent in an open draw.
Newcastle went out to Partizan Belgrade before the group phase in 2003 while Everton crashed to Villarreal five years ago.
But Spurs could still catch rivals Arsenal for third and avoid a play-off.
FINANCIAL giants Bloomberg are in the frame for the naming rights of Tottenham's new stadium.
The club want to sell the title in a package with the shirt sponsorship.
His players celebrated by pouring a huge barrel of iced water over him.
But it failed to dampen Redknapp's joy after Peter Crouch's 82nd-minute header guaranteed Tottenham at least fourth place and a potential £50million windfall.
Redknapp said: "I'm absolutely soaked but I'm delighted. This is great for the club.
"At the start of the year I thought Manchester City were the only club with a chance of breaking into the top four.
"I hoped we would get into the top seven and qualify for Europe. So to do this is great."
Redknapp, who took over 18 months ago when the side had two points from eight games, added: "When I first arrived the chairman was worried about relegation.
"He has just asked me who Arsenal are playing on Sunday because we have a chance to pip them to third place.
"Where we have come from to where we are now is marvellous.
"This is a better achievement for me than winning the FA Cup with Portsmouth.
"This is about 38 games and we have done it playing some good football."
It is the first time Tottenham have qualified to play alongside Europe's club elite since 1961.
And they could still catch rivals Arsenal for third if Spurs beat Burnley on Sunday and the Gunners lose at home to Europa League final-bound Fulham.
harry can lar
u ask arsenal to lost then u muz win to get 3rd
but wenger dun think wan to give u the spot
spurs totally deserved the win.
city were good only in the first 15 mins. their overdependence on tevez were obvious. when mancini made the substitutions i couldnt help laughing.
vieria? why does a rich club like city need an old man like him?
swp for johnson? i couldnt and didnt see what he could have done or did do to turn the match around.
santa cruz? he hardly had a touch of the ball.
adebayor did not have a single chance if i remember correctly.
its obvious city doesnt have anyone better in the reserves. they need to correct this next season.
and mancini really cmi as far as i can see.
Arsenal are quite lucky cos Fulham have a Europa final on Wed, 3 days after their not so important to win match against the gunners on Sunday... I think had it been another week or more, Fulham would go to Arsenal and play their hearts out and possibly even beat them with the gunners squad currently quite weak... But with a Europa final so close, Fulham might just send out their reserve so as not to risk injuries or fatigue just before they meet Atletico Madrid on Wed.
Poor Spurs, get screwed by the fixtures...
Spurs finally made up the loss they had done 3 years ago.
4th spot only means that they will enter the Champions League playoffs.
But that said, they actually have a pretty reasonable chance of getting the automatic third spot. They need to win their final match, while Arsenal needs to lose their final match.
And mind you, Arsenal must face Fulham. Remember that Fulham is a bunch of giantkillers who have already scalped the likes of Man U and Juve this year.
Spurs truely deserve that last slot to enter CL.
i don't think they will go far in the tour, but it's a good experience for the team.

yep, a turnaround for them, cause they were doing so badly at the start of season.. Kudos to them

Depends on their opponents in UCL group stage.
You have to wonder whether Man City is at home or Spurs is at home. Spurs had most of the chances to score and Man City is toothless in attack. truth be told, spurs should have score more than 1 goal if not for the heroics of the goalie fulop, a loaned goalie from sunderland.

but no denying it was his fault that led to the spurs goal.

where was the leftback bridge when the crossing came? nowhere to be seen isnt it?
When I saw how easily he cross unchallenged from the right side, I knew it wuill trouble Man City and bingo, was I right......
they deserve it man. Congrats to harry redknapp..he deserves it after so many underdog years with west ham.
No one's really a superstar at spurs but they still did it.
Man City scare of Spurs, just like Spurs scare of Man U?
iirc, for recent meetings, Spurs managed to win all except 1 loss to them at Eastlands.
man city right and left backs are their achilles heel. zabaletta and bridge. slow, useless in attack, mediocre defenders at best.
i cant imagine a top club like city relying on this quality of defenders. not say their centerbacks are also top class. man c defense is always shaky. they try to cover it up by scoring more goals than they concede.

That's the problem when you have an owner with huge bags of money. He will see himself as having the right to play Football Manager with the cheat code on.
Everyone has been pointing out the same thing - Man City's strikeforce is awesome, but their defensive cover is woeful.
All Man City has to do is to get a couple of good defenders costing maybe 20 million pounds total, and recall Joe Hart as the backup goalie for Shay Given.
Problem is, all that money is obscuring what should be plainly obvious.
