Is that the way to north London? Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Rene Adler
Widely considered to be one of the best keepers in Europe, he is contracted with Leverkusen until 2012, but Arsenal could make their move according to German newspaper Bild.
Meanwhile Brentford loan star Wojciech Szczesny has vowed to become Arsenal's number one next season.
The Polish international has starred in his five-month stint at Griffin Park, with Bees boss Andy Scott keen to keep him.
But Szczesny has set his sights on a first-team spot with the Gunners, saying:'I'm going to go back there and fight for the number one spot.
'I believe I'm good enough to do a job for Arsenal and if I'm given a chance I'm sure I'll take it.
'Hopefully I will eventually become Arsenal's number one.'
ok
but get Joe Hart gd
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will make a £10 million bid for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart as the Frenchman has seen enough shaky performances from Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski.
A fifth consecutive year without a trophy could put pressure on the Gunners boss to make a switch as his two goalkeepers have made some bad errors this season, according to the Daily Star.
Hart has played well on loan at Birmingham City, compiling 12 shut-outs in the Premier League this season and putting himself in contention for a spot on England’s World Cup squad.
City have one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers in Shay Given and could cash in on the 23-year-old if Arsenal intends to upgrade at goalkeeper.
wenger's stubborness in getting more experienced players over the years have cost them much.....let's see if this change of attitude would result in something significant next season...
