Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready to launch a bid for Palermo striker Edinson Cavani.
The People says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich doesn't want to discuss any deals before the end of next month but Ancelotti's scouts are still working hard on the targets he wants to strengthen the Blues challenge next season.
It is believed Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is also a big admirer of Cavani and Manchester United scouts have been keeping a close eye, watching him at least twice this season.
But while his progress has been noted in Italy, it is Chelsea who have been showing greatest interest and Ancelotti has been kept updated on Cavani's form by frequent reports from his scouting staff.
