The Italians have been long-term admirers of the 30-year-old and believe he can be a hit in Serie A.
But his close relationship with Rafa Benitez has put them off launching a bid for the forward Liverpool paid Feyenoord £10milion for in 2006.
Juve now believe the mayhem at Anfield could open the door for them to make a move for Kuyt though.
They expect Benitez to quit in summer, possibly even moving to Turin, and feel his departure would make it easier to persuade Kuyt to quit.
Co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks will also be happy to off-load players to help ease the £237m debt they accrued in buying the club.
The lower that figure gets the easier it will be to sell Liverpool.
And Kuyt is one of the few saleable assets whose departure would not leave the Kop baying for blood.
