Unsung hero at Chelsea: Claude Makelele
Former Chelsea star Claude Makelele will announce his retirement from football this weekend.
The 37-year-old holding midfielder will continue at his club, Paris Saint-Germain, until the end of the season.
He will officially announce his decision to call it a day on French television.
Makelele spent five years at Stamford Bridge and scored two goals in 144 Premier League matches.
He failed to find the net in 71 appearances for France
Meanwhile, Everton manager David Moyes has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award for March. Everton remained unbeaten in the month with three victories and two draws.
It is the seventh time that Moyes has won the award since he took over at Goodison Park in 2002.

In fact he’s so good that the role was named after him.
Yup, pivotal in Del Bosque's Galaticos team and their UCL victories.
I can't recall Real getting past the Quarters ever since he left.

It was rumoured the midfielder was ready to hang up his boots after his deal expired at the end of last season.
But Makelele, 37, was persuaded to prolong his career by PSG president Robin Leproux.
The ex-France international said: "I'm relieved because I believe in this club.
"There will be some important recruitment this summer and the target is interesting — to make this an important club again in France.
"I share the ambitions of the coach and the club."
Makelele joined PSG in 2008 after a successful five-year stint at Stamford Bridge. He played 31 games for the French outfit last term.
