  Tottenham join race to sign £2m Notts County keeper Kasper Schmeichel

  

  Wanted: Notts County's Kasper Schmeichel

  Tottenham have made an enquiry for Notts County goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, 23.

  The Dane, son of former Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel, has played a key role in County's League Two promotion charge since joining from Manchester City last August.

  Birmingham and Blackburn are also interested in the young stopper and have been told to cough up £2m if they want to sign Schmeichel in the summer.

  Notts County need to sell the keeper at the end of the season to help cut their £6m worth of debt.

  County boss Steve Cotterill said: 'I don’t want to get rid of Kasper but he will get snapped up.'

  He was unlucky at City.

  Was sent down the packing order after Given and Hart despite some good performances.

  I hope he joins a club where he can play first team football tho, got potential.
