Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Wednesday, April 14 2010
Channel 27: 3.00 am - (Live) (Thur morning)
Arsene Wenger's depleted side were handed a masterclass by Argentina international Lionel Messi, who helped himself to all four goals as the Gunners' European dreams were shattered in Spain.
Walcott, however, insists the same mistakes will not be made when they resume their quest for the Premier League title at White Hart Lane next week.
He said: "It is disappointing to go out after getting that early goal, but times you just have to sit back and admire it, because it was fantastic.
"The next five minutes after scoring are crucial and we just could not hang on, in the end, they blew us away.
"Lionel Messi is probably the only player on the planet who could have scored goals like that.
"It is one of those nights where we have to learn from our mistakes.
"It is about holding on to those crucial goals and not giving them the opportunity to score.
"But there is no point dwelling on it, it is all in the past, we have got to move on and concentrate on the Premier League."
"We now have to look forward to the game against Spurs on Wednesday and have to come right back because we have still got the Premier League to have a shout at.
"Tottenham away is a very big game — we just have to try and bounce back from this disappointment."
hey zocock...tell this theo walcock to stop talk cock.
it a tough game to mi
spurs wan win to get top4
arsenal wan win to get title
hmmm
if arsenal suck my cock, they win.if spurs suck zocock cock, they lose
Arsenal will have the huge advantage cos they won't be playing till that match while Spurs have an FA cup semi-final on Sat, then Arsenal on Wed. And not to forget, they may have to balance their squad cos they will have Chelsea 3 days later... Bad timing for them...
one week later?!
yup...
if spurs lose, then its advantage man city for the chase for 4th place. So I dun think spurs dared to lose, esp a derby match.
so means Arsenal will dare to lose uh?
if arsenal draw or lose, then they can forget their title aspirations.
fuck zocock
walcott should leave arsenal for clubs just outside the top 4.
he needs to play regularly to improve.
if spurs win the next two games, then they are in good driving seat for 4th... come on..

yes but they are so inconsistent. can lose to lowly teams even. man city is the favourites now to fiinsh 4th and spurs, 5th. liverpool will probably fiinsh 6th.
Bacary Sagna feels Arsenal must sometimes "cut out the football" as they aim to keep their Premier League title bid alive.
Arsenal head to north London rivals Tottenham next Wednesday night, in a match rescheduled after the FA Cup semi-finals, with little margin for error given how tight it is at the top of the table, currently just three points separating the leading sides.
Arsene Wenger's men - set to be without inspirational skipper Cesc Fabregas for the rest of the season because of a hairline fracture in his leg - left it late to beat 10-man Wolves with a stoppage-time winner from Nicklas Bendtner last weekend, while in their previous match Birmingham snatched a goal with almost the final kick at St Andrew's to cost the Gunners two precious points.
Full-back Sagna feels the team must learn from such incidents to make sure they do not waste opportunities to close out games and get the needed result.
"Sometimes I think we play too much," the 27-year-old France international said.
"We just want to do that and do not think about what is good for us - sometimes we just need to cut out the football, stop playing for a bit and just consider what will help us achieve what we want."
teamtalk.
Lol, must play more rugby lah arsenal.
