arsenal were naive trying to play barcelona at their own game. to have a chance against bacelona, simply put, arsenal needed to be more english like.

Arsenal are still an inexperienced team in Europe... Seems like they get beaten in Europe by big margins. Didn't they lost to United by a big margins too in the semis last year? Then the year before last it was to Pool 4 - 2... So for 3 seasons gunners got beaten big...

Yes, but the manner of barcelona domination is incredible. their passing is like men against boys. Xavi must be the best midfielder today and messi the best player in the world right now.and barcelona is the best pass master.

Arsenal is just an inferior version of Barcelona. They try to play the same passing game, but really, looking at the Arsenal team, maybe only Fabregas could claim to have a place in this Barcelona team, but even then, he is nowhere near complete as Xavi is at the moment. Imitation against the Original, no comparison. If Arsenal wanted to have a chance yesterday they had gotta change their tactic.

Xavi is the most impressive midfielder I've seen in a long time and it's not only on the basis of this match Im saying it. Over the 2 legs, I can't even recall a moment when he mis-place his passes or losing possession of the ball...
Another aspect of barce's game that isn't lauded as much as their passing and Messi is their pressing game... their players are so efficient when it comes to closing down arsenal by blocking their angles and closing down channels in which the player can play a pass to...

If u see it clearly, first 3 goal are all arsenal defender mistake.
But still cannot take away Messi great dribbling skill.
Hope Inter will stop him. Italian defence has a tendency to throw 3-4 defenders to mark out a good player.

marking xavi and messi is better than just marking messi alone.
e main thing is whether Inter's midfield can stifle Barca's midfield.
