Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has reaffirmed his opinion that his old team "sends me to sleep".
Schuster is also backing Barcelona, where he spent several years as a player, to win the Champions League.
"Sometimes, I still fall asleep watching Madrid play, but it's a manner of speaking," said Schuster. "I like two or three players of Barca, and I enjoy watching them play. If Madrid could do the same, I would also enjoy watching them.
"I want Barca to win this year's Champions League. If Barca and Madrid play, I support them for 45 minutes each."
On Lionel Messi, Schuster added: "Messi can become like Diego Maradona, but not better, because he belongs to the greats like Pele, Cruyff, Zidane and Beckenbauer.
"To get up there you have to win the World Cup. It is the only thing missing."
