  Rooney on the other hand with a total goal tally of 33...

  Serie A?

  Not many prominent ones this season... maybe Diego Milito of Inter with 20 goals this season...

  I think Ronaldo will be in top 3 or 4 for world player of the year. give him the benefit of the doubt lar. it is his first season at RM. not easy to go straight from BPL to La Liga and be best player of the season ma.  I believe to be world player of the season, you need to win the CL.

  Messi for sure. His goals-game ratio compared to Rooney is around the same but he definitely assists more than Rooney. Nevertheless, Rooney is indeed on hot form now...

  sure rooney bangs the goals. but compare the quality of goals scored by these 2 players, messi wins quite convincingly.

  in terms of skills, Messi is more talented. Rooney certainly cant dribble past defenders as if they are not around, like Messi. but Rooney has his other attributes as well.
