WANTED MAN ... David Beckham
DAVID BECKHAM has been swamped by offers to be a World Cup pundit in South Africa.
BBC, ITV and ESPN all want Becks on their sofas for the finals and are prepared to pay whatever it takes.
But Beckham is not certain to accept any of the offers as he recuperates from the torn Achilles tendon which has wrecked his dream of appearing at a record fourth World Cup.
We revealed in today's SunSport how Fabio Capello had invited Beckham to join up with the squad in the summer — even though he would not be able to play.
Beckham, 34, also has the chance to step up his duties as the country's 2018 World Cup ambassador during the finals with the vote on where the tournament will be staged taking place at the end of the year.
A source close to Becks said: "David has a lot of different offers coming in but he cannot get his head round any of them at the moment.
"The most important thing he is thinking about right now is that he recovers from this injury and gets back playing again."

Most over rated player... already old cannot run,can't defense and definitely can,t dribble . Even if he is not injured, i doubt Capello will select him.

poor Beck, who wouldn't represent their country in the world cup finals? now that he has torn his tendon, he can't play for 2010. i think he will be too old to play for next world cup...at 38, sure bo? no wonder he is so upset.

bros,u must know this..only when beckham says its over,then its really over.he is very strong will,determine,dicipline and very patriotic guy.he loves playing for england.he will be back.i dun rule out world cup 2014 for him,enless becks himse;f says its over.he faced many setbacks thruout his career,bt each time he emerged victorious.becks will be back

Though beckham has never been a fast runner, and neither can he dribble... but his passing and crossing is imy opinion the best ever. His crosses are damn accurate, and need not say... his freekicks!!!
I feel sad for him for tearing his tendon.. may he recover soon, and i doubt we would all see him playing for England ever again. His best moments for the 3 lions would come in his injury time free kick against Greece that send England to the World Cup 4 years ago, and his infamous stamp on that Argentine in the World cup many years ago that made him England Public enemy No. 1.

Don't know if Beckham would still be a big name in 2014 and unlike the Singapore Lions England has got an ocean of talented footballers waiting in line to represent the country.
