Portsmouth will be without the defender Ricardo Rocha, who must serve a two-game ban following his red card at Burnley last Saturday. Tal Ben Haim may return in his place following groin surgery, while Aaron Mokoena is doubtful with knee ligament problems. Kevin-Prince Boateng (ankle) is out and Jamie O'Hara is struggling with back problems, but is set to play.
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish will check on the fitness of striker James McFadden (groin), who missed Scotland's midweek international with the Czech Republic. The former Scotland boss has no other new injury worries.

Fulham captain Danny Murphy (groin) will undergo a fitness test, while left-back Paul Konchesky may feature after making a full recovery from his ankle injury. Andrew Johnson, Clint Dempsey and John Pantsil remain in the treatment room, all with ankle injuries.
Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has hamstring problems and is a doubt. Ledley King (thigh), Tom Huddlestone (groin), Jermaine Jenas (groin), Aaron Lennon (groin) and David Bentley (groin) are already ruled out. Carlo Cudicini (wrist and pelvis) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) are long-term absentees, while Younes Kaboul and Kyle Walker are cup-tied.

Villa central defender Richard Dunne is set to be fit after missing the Republic of Ireland's friendly against Brazil with a leg injury sustained in the Carling Cup final. Boss Martin O'Neill has no fresh major injury worries.

Chelsea are without the suspended pair Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti. Centre-half Ricardo Carvalho faces a late fitness test after suffering a hamstring injury on international duty with Portugal. Goalkeeper Hilario will continue to deputise for Petr Cech who is recovering from a calf injury. Midfielder Michael Essien remains sidelined with a knee injury. Gael Kakuta, who played twice for France in midweek, also misses out and there is a doubt over Yury Zhirkov (calf).
Defender Ryan Shawcross is unavailable as he starts a three-match suspension following his red card last weekend for his tackle on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey. Stoke will await fitness checks on Matthew Etherington (knee) and Danny Higginbotham (back), who have missed three and four matches respectively, before naming their side.
