Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson has been arrested.
The Daily Mail reports Johnson has been arrested by police after a United fan claimed he had been headbutted in a nightclub.
Midfielder Johnson was interviewed by Greater Manchester Police after a 22-year-old claimed he had been attacked in 42nd Street in the city's Bootle Street.
Police contacted City after the complaint was made and arranged an appointment for the 22-year-old to attend Grey Mare Lane station, close to Eastlands.
Johnson was then arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and bailed until March 18.
Johnson has been out of action since damaging knee ligaments in training on December 10 last year. The alleged incident happened four days earlier.
