Guus Hiddink Confirms He Will Leave Russia Post
The Dutch coach will be free from his ties with Russia in June.
Guus Hiddink - Russia (Getty Images)Guus Hiddink has confirmed he will leave his post as Russia coach when his contract expires on June 30, 2010.
"After speaking with the new Federal President I have decided that I will no longer be coach of Russia upon expiry of my contract. That is all I want to say for now," he told De Telegraaf / Telesport.
Hiddink began his Russia stint in 2006. He reached the semi finals at EURO 2008, but failed to qualify for World Cup 2010.
Russia will not be looking for a new coach to guide them through Euro 2012 qualification.
Hiddink has been linked with a number of teams including Juventus and Heerenveen. -

The Dutch gaffer will reportedly sign a contract with the Turkish FA later this week.
Guus Hiddink - Russia (Getty Images)According to several reports from Turkey, Dutch coach Guus Hiddink is on the verge of signing a contract with the Turkish Football Association. The 63-year-old is expected to travel to Turkey on Friday in order to sign a contract.
The former Chelsea manager announced on Saturday that he will not extend his expiring contract with the Russian Football Association and has since been linked with several clubs and national teams.
North Korea and Nigeria were already among the candidates to make a move for Hiddink, whilst Ivory Coast joined the race for the Dutchman's signature on Monday.
However, it appears as if Hiddink has now made his decision. The reports suggest that the former PSV chief will stay with Russia until the end of his contract on June 30 before signing a deal with Turkey running until after Euro 2012. -
He should have just join some other clubs like Juventus.... this is so much better than a Turkey job.
