anyone noticed at extra time almunia ran out of the box with the ball still in his hand
yup almunia ran out with the ball...zzzz
mho, gunners have went backwards..
when they attack, they are worried about being countered, and while the top teams can do that with their quality, I do believe other teams will soon tap on that.
gone were the days when their defence were awed when they had keown, adams, or when their midfield has a general like vieira. Keown would have deal with Drobga easily but Gunner's defence, seems "lightweight".
Gunners lacked someone like Mascherano/makelele who can disrupt the other teams' attack, they did not replace Flamini's well.
Liverpool may have lose Torres, but they have someone who can still score without much fanfare in Kuryt. He is doing all the nitty-gitty, and always around the box when it matters. Gunners lacked that.
Their only brightspot is their captain, but while he looks to yet another successive wc or euro. how long will he stay at a club where he is simply doing too much with no results??
Wenger may say that they can't find players with the right price with the right quality. It seems he is paying the price.
chelsea should get rid of ballack and malouda.
ballack is useful actually. he cant shoot for nuts but his passing is good and he provides the heavyweight in the midfield, disrupting opponents play.
malouda is inconsistent. sometimes he is very good, sometimes like invisible.
arsenal can only bully small teams, against big boys always get beaten. i wont say they have been declining last few years, but they have been stagnating. overdependence on just a few stars like fabregas, arshavin and v persie.
seems as if they always want to dribble the ball into the goal. they need a good striker and get one heavyweight defensive mid, or two.
just get one david villa can turn things around. instead of relying on poor performing youngsters like eduardo and wolcott. really those two is cmi nowadays. the onus is on the midfielders esp fabregas and arshavin to score. then wtf are their strikers for?
arse are the poster boys for 'it's a beautiful game' tagline....fanciful touches and possessional game but they just can't wrap a game up....as usual, they started off well with pundits always thinking they will win the league only to falter later and this season is no different...
Men against boys.
Shld hv put more dan $100 on Chelsea .
If Robin Van Persie was playing yesterday, and Arshavin didn't need to play as the lone striker and goes back to his preferred left side position, Arsenal actually have a decent chance... Like last season they ended Chelsea's unbeaten run with 2 Van Persie's goals...

quite impressed with this arshavin, seems to always find the way. if he gets the necessary support, scary prospects.
