Everton have agreed a deal to take Switzerland defender Philippe Senderos on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season.
Everton confirmed that "the formalities of the transfer will be finalised in the next 48 hours" and the 24-year-old will arrive at Goodison Park in time to watch his new club in action against Birmingham City in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
Senderos, who was loaned to Italian giants AC Milan for the 2008-09 season, has struggled to get a game at the Emirates and wants regular first-team football to boost his chances of making this summer's World Cup finals.
Senderos, who joined the Gunners in December 2002, was a part of the Arsenal side which won the 2005 FA Cup at the expense of Manchester United, and has 33 caps for Switzerland.
