  West Ham Make Van Nistelrooy Offer - Report

  West Ham have reportedly become the latest English club to make an offer for Ruud Van Nistelrooy, as the Dutchman gears towards an exit from the Bernabeu.
  
  According to AS, Van Nistelrooy's agent, Rodger Linse, has confirmed that the Hammers have submitted a bid for the Dutch striker. They would be the third English club to do so, after Tottenham and Stoke City.
  
  Galatassaray are also keen on Van Nistelrooy, but he wants to prove himself in the Premier League ahead of the World Cup.
  
  Van Nistelrooy has made 68 league appearances for Los Merengues, scoring 46 times.

  West Ham United have made no secret this week of their desire to sign a striker this month, and are now monitoring Tottenham Hotspur's Robbie Keane, according to a report from The Daily Express.
  
  New Hammers owners David Sullivan and David Gold have said they will help manager Gianfranco Zola reinforce his squad and have identified the forward positions as a priority.
  
  Keane has been linked with clutch of clubs over the last month, with Celtic, Sunderland and Aston Villa amongst the names believed to be interested in taking the Republic of Ireland striker away from White Hart Lane.
  
  Although the report claims that the Hammers have had an initial loan enquiry for the player rejected, Gold and Sullivan have apparently made an £8 million transfer kitty available to Zola.
  
  Monca's Eidur Gudjohnsen and Benni McCarthy of Blackburn are also believed to be on the Hammers list of possible targets, whilst they are also interested in bringing a centre-back to Upton Park.

  Tottenham have made a swap offer for West Ham United striker Carlton Cole.

  The News of the World says Spurs have offered Robbie Keane to West Ham in a bid to lure Cole to White Hart Lane.

  Boss Harry Redknapp wants to shake up his strike force as Tottenham seek to clinch a Champions League spot.

  Redknapp failed in a bid to sign Cole before the start of the season.

  And new West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold have vowed not to sell any of their top stars in this transfer window.

  Instead they are desperately seeking to sign at least two new strikers themselves as partners for Cole.

  And they may try to strike a straight bargain for Keane now it is clear Spurs are ready to offload him.
