Chris Waddle did well at Marseille for 2 seasons.
Des Walker(Does anyone remember him at all? He was from Nottingham Forest, played for England in Italia 90) was a flop at Sampdoria.

Lee Sharpe anyone? Played 3 games at a Sampdoria managed by David Platt(who himself lasted only a few games before he was sacked)

What i remember most about Des Walker is his classic own goal in the FA cup final against Tottenham in 1991. It was a wonderful moment for me as i grew up as a Tottenham fan. Totally forgotten about Sharpe. Platt was a good player but hopeless manager.
Des Walker was a pacy and tough tackling world class england defender when he was at forest. but his form dipped after he joined Serie A club, was it sampdoria for 1 season before he came back to EPL to join Sheffield Wednesday. after that it was downhill for him and he was never selected for England again.
Chris Benoit will break your neck. Undertaker will break your back. One is living. The other is dead. And thats the bottomline.

Well based on my memory, here's the list of english exports and their results in foreign leagues. Success: Ince (Inter) Hargreaves (Bayern munich) Platt (Sampdoria/Bari/Juventus) Average: Beckham (Real madrid) Owen (Real madrid) McManaman (Real madrid) Flops: Woodgate (Real madrid) Gascoigne (Lazio)
well, Hargraves is actually an import, not export, given he never played in EPL till he came to MUFC. (if I am not wrong).
well, to go back to intent of the topic, all footballs fans are fanatic in one way or other. Dependingly, some are with bigger hearts and maturity than others. However, I felt that we should all respect whatever is shared/communted, if it cheez you off, just dont' reply. No harm.
