Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could soon be the subject of bids from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to a report from The Sun.
Financial
figures released yesterday showed that United would have made a loss
last year without the £80 million that they received from Real for the
sale of Cristiano Ronaldo.
As speculation grows that there is further financial woe ahead at Old Trafford, The Sun claims that selling Rooney might well be the only way for the Red Devils to ease the impending problems.
The two Spanish clubs are reported as already considering bids of around £70m for the 24-year-old England regular.
dun think rooney wants to leave united and england, as his family is located. unless rooney also have dreams to play for RM or barcelona.
mi 2
dun think rooney would go spain
rooney go = man utd gg
his baby just born... plus he got good wages, close to his family, likes man utd, close to saf, n also a 1st choice in man utd. he wun leave one... unless he is bosom friends with ronaldo LOL no point risking his playing time, cos rm n barca have alot of attacking players who r mostly on the same wavelength as rooney. just look at owen at rm...
i think rooney is a typical english player who has his mind set to play all the way in england.
i doubt he will leave.
After tax, his wages could be lower in England than what he can get in Spain. With all the Man Utd's interest payment problems expected in years ahead, who wants to remain in a sinking ship?
