Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to be handed a massive transfer kitty.
The Mirror says Ferguson will be handed £75million to spend on new players by Manchester United's owners in a bid to haul the club out of its financial crisis.
The Glazers have borrowed the money and will give it straight to Fergie to spend on his squad in a bid to encourage investors to buy £500m-worth of bonds.
Thats a good piece of news, but i think United to sell before they buy, the squad is big enough for now unless a few decides to retire(i.e Neville, Scholes) or players are sold (i.e Nani, Berbatov)
no need 75m lar. if got 30m to spend, already is good news le, dun be so greedy. of course if got 75m to spend, its great, but it will just all on to the debt.
anyway need to find replacements for giggs on the left flank and a creative midfielder for scholes. in case vidic were to leave, also need to find replacement for vidic and also VDS if he were to retire at end of season.
what united need is some kind of overhaul... not major one.
IMO, need one big, reliable n proven striker who is good in the air so as to increase their attack options. worldclass attack mid and left winger, n a gk who is readymade replacement for vds. plus a budding central defender. I dunno who is available now, cos alot of good choices dun really look like they r gna come to man utd, like dzeko, deigo etc..
then need to offload 1 midfielder who is no performing, maybe carrick. n also berba as his confidence really i tink is rock bottom already. foster need to go too imo.
need to loan out some of the youngsters, either welbeck or macheda, plus de laet etc..
hope these happen in the summer cos got more time to gel. jan too fast. But all these things are what i tink, dun flame... jus tinking out loud
the way I see it, they need the 75m to get attractive players, so that they can get big investments to get the 500M bonds. so the 75m is bait..
