Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says that the Premier League table is not important right now after watching his team defeat Blackburn Rovers 4-1.
City have now moved up to fourth position in the Premier League, but the Italian is only looking forward to the next game.
“For now we don’t watch the table” Mancini told ESPN.
“It’s not important at the moment, there are 17 games to play and we will see where we are then. But we must concentrate on the next game”
Despite City’s 4-1 win, Mancini was unhappy that his side conceded the first goal of his reign and stressed that his side will have to stamp out mistakes.
He added “We played very well in a hard game and we had to concentrate but I’m angry that we conceded a goal.
"It was a gift for them and we should not being giving these kind of gifts away. We have to make sure we have to concentrate for the full 90 minutes of the game”
In securing victory, Mancini became the first Manchester City manager to win their first four games in charge.
