LIVERPOOL hope to complete a deal to bring Argentine ace Maxi Rodriguez to Anfield in the next 48 hours.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been told he can go after falling out of favour. And last night, Rodriguez's agent Jurgen Milewski admitted a move is close to being finalised.
Milewski revealed: "I can say the chances of a transfer are high." Atletico would like the Reds to sign Rodriguez, 29, on a permanent basis for a knock-down price as he can leave for nothing in the summer when his contract expires. But Liverpool want to take the star on loan for the rest of the season with a view to signing him if he is a success.
And with Rodriguez - who is happy to take a cut on his £85,000-a-week wages - keen to chance his arm in the Premier League, that has swayed things in Rafa Benitez's favour.
Argie giants Boca Juniors are also eyeing up Rodriguez but will not pay a loan fee - something Liverpool are quite prepared to do - which leaves manager Benitez in pole position.

Alot of factors affect how good a player can be. Culture, teammates, teamstyle, the player himself, etcMaybe one player can be a team's heart and soul but he can be shit in another.

for example player A and player B.
Player A score 20 goals from tap ins.. headers etc.
Player B score 5 goals.. but from his own skill.

but i also disagree with liverpool signing chamakh, what they need now is a big strong striker. like hulk. not some small speedy ones. we already have torres.
