  Report: Real Madrid Target Aguero, Villa Or Rooney For Next Year

  The trio, in that order, are the main objectives for Los Merengues next season.

  Real Madrid are already planning their next Galactico swoop, with three names in the pipeline.
  
  According to Marca, their primary objective is Sergio Aguero. Atletico Madrid are likely to need to sell next summer, and Los Merengues will seriously consider paying his €60 million buy-out clause, as they believe he can be a future Ballon D'Or winner.
  
  Should they fail to land the Argentine, Los Blancos will return to the David Villa option. 'El Guaje' was almost signed last summer, until a last minute complication. He would also add to the Spanish contingent at the Bernabeu. The club believe that he is eager to join them, but Valencia have proved hard to negotiate with previously, and his buyout clause is €120 million.
  
  Finally, their third choice is Wayne Rooney. However, this transfer seems highly unlikely, given that Sir Alex Ferguson would be loathe to lose another star to Los Merengues a year after the sale of Ronaldo. Additionally, there are no buy-out clauses in England.
  
  With Ruud Van Nistelrooy's conract set to expire and Raul's future in doubt, one of the above could be Madrid's latest Galactico come next summer.

  Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is on Real Madrid's 2010 shopping list.

  Marca says Real are ready to sign one of the best young strikers in the game as they prepare for life after Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

  Florentino Perez's board has a three-man shortlist, comprising of Atletico Madrid ace Sergio Aguero, Valencia striker David Villa and Rooney - with the priority in that order.

  Where Aguero has a buyout clause of £50 million and Villa one worth £100 million, Rooney's contract does not boast any such option - and Real management are aware he will be seeking a pay-rise in the New Year.

  Rooney is expected to open new contract talks with United well before the 2010 World Cup.

  Barcelona willing to offer Man Utd’s Rooney £200,000-a-week after tax

  Barcelona are willing to offer Wayne Rooney huge wages to tempt him from Manchester United.

  The Daily Star says Barca are ready to offer Rooney £8m a season – after tax – to lure him from Manchester United.

  The Spanish and European champions have targeted the England striker for their main signing this summer.

  Rooney’s new contract negotiations with United are on hold until after the World Cup, when he will have two years left on his current Old Trafford deal.

  United are believed to be reluctant to pay Rooney the £140,000 a week he is alleged to want to stay with the champions. And Rooney has said he would like to end his career at United.

  But his advisers are believed to want Rooney to be the best-paid player in a new five-year-deal.

  Barca would be happy to give Rooney that and more – and pay his tax for him – to dwarf any deal United could put together.

  It would mean Rooney would be on a staggering £200,000-a-week deal.

  Barcelona tongues are wagging over claims Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney asked ex-teammate Gerard Pique about Nou Camp life.

  El Mundo Deportivo says Rooney has asked Pique about what it's like playing for Barca - and coach Pep Guardiola - along with information on his teammates.

  Rooney has been linked with Real Madrid in the past week as the Spanish press caught wind of United's financial dramas.

  However, it's understood if the England ace was to leave United, he would choose Barca ahead of Real, where another former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, has urged him to make the move to Madrid.

  Tito Vilanova, Barca's assistant coach, is a huge fan of Rooney and if it came down to a choice involving the likes of Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich) and David Villa (Valencia), he would take the England ace every time.

  Yes, they are about to change it very soon. Come April, tax are up from 40% to 50%.

  hard as in, physically well-build.

  something like rooney and tevez kind? it will take lots of effort, or rather, more than a person's effort to be able to bring them down.

  unlike torres, who goes down abit too easily, a small push, abit of tugging, he will drop.

  Barca will be making a HUGE mistake signing the over-rated Rooney..............for a physically strong attacker, Julio Baptista is at his level and WAY cheaper...........and can double as a winger too........Rooney's game is too one-dimensional...............

   

  the BEST and most promising striker out there is Angel di Maria (saw him in the Olympics)...............cheap too...............unless Barca is trying to use Rooney to sell jerseys..................LOL..............even that's not gonna work, Rooney's not even 1/10th as good-looking as Beckham..................

  what? I am over-rated, says who!!! I am special ok. I am a bulldog, I chase back and help defend ok. I also help create and score goals. I was a wunderkind many years ago!!!!

  if those clubs i contacted long ago were to listen to me........................they would have gotten Roberto Baggio , Gianfranco Zola and many others when they were unknowns..............

   

  other relatively cheap players but with great promise include Giampaolo Pazzini and Sebastian Giovinco from Sampdoria and Juventus respectively.

   

  Rooney will struggle at Barca............his style of play doesn't suit the club at all............
